OK, let’s get this announcement party started!

So here are a couple of upcoming events I’d like to pass on to you all. Until I get this calendar page figured out, this will have to do.

Security Week! – Beer goggles? Command center tours? Self defense show case? Trivia games? Scavenger hunt? BIG prizes? Yup, this event has it all. Brought to you by your SGA and the Campus Safety and Security Department! Begins April 2nd and runs all week. Check out and “like” the Facebook page for more up to date info!

JHU’s Red Cross Presents: Medicine Through Music – The American Red Cross club will be hosting its annual Medicine Through Music concert to benefit Heart-to-Heart Shanghai, a China-based community-outreach organization that provides heart surgery for children living in impoverished rural provinces of China. The concert will feature several of JHU’s esteemed performing arts groups, so come prepared for a night of entertainment to blow off some post-midterms steam. The entrance fee is $3- refreshments provided! (We will accept both cash and J-cash.) Bloomberg auditorium Friday, April 6th from 7pm until 9pm. Check out the Facebook event page for more info.

Cultural Block Party – It’s back! The Office of Multicultural Affairs presents a spring time version of their awesome block party. Friday, April 13th 4pm to 7pm on 31st St. between N. Charles and St. Paul (in front of Maxies). Groups from JHU as well as the Baltimore community will be on hand at this event along with food and vendors! If you are interesting in having a table at this event, please email omainternal (at) gmail.com. The event is free to attend!

Relay for Life at JHU  – Begins April 13th at 7pm on the upper quad at Homewood. Join fellow students in their fight to knock out cancer. Have fun and raise money! For more information, checkout http://www.jhu.edu/Relay or

Iron Phi – Register to run or donate in this 5k race sponsored by Phi Delta Theta at JHU. The race is April 29th and raises funds for ALS research. There will be food, music and information booths! To register – http://www.jhuironphi.org/
